Course Description

Learn the fundamentals of handbuilding pottery with our Slab & Pinch Pottery class. Using white stoneware, you'll learn the basic techniques of slab, pinch, and slump molding to create your own set of unique items such as mugs, sushi plates, or succulent planters. Our knowledgeable instructors will guide you through a range of texturing tools to help you create one-of-a-kind surface designs. Whether you're brand new to clay or an experienced potter looking to develop your style, this class is perfect for all levels. Each weekly class is two hours long - which breaks out to an affordable cost of $49/week. Class size limited to 8. Included with this course: - Open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. Please see the Student Practice page on the website for current practice hours. - 25 pounds of clay (including firing and glazing). - Basic tools for your use during class. (Bring a towel and apron if you like.) (There are no makeup classes for this course. If you need to miss a class, speak with your instructor about what you will miss. Try to get extra studio practice that week and follow any guidelines for learning what you will miss that your instructor may have for you.)
