Throw Clay LA is committed to making pottery more accessible through Art Without Barriers, our community-funded initiative designed to create opportunities for those who might not otherwise have the chance to explore the arts.

This program is fully funded by Throw Clay LA through a percentage of our monthly sales—meaning every class taken helps open doors for others. We offer three ways to participate:

Reserved spots in Six-Week Courses, filled shortly before the beginning of a session

A limited number of Memberships available on a sliding scale

Occasional free One-Time Classes for those who need them most

Mission
At Throw Clay LA, we believe that creativity should be accessible to everyone. Art Without Barriers is our community-funded initiative dedicated to expanding opportunities for individuals who might not otherwise be able to participate in the arts. By providing assistance for classes and memberships, we aim to foster a diverse and inclusive clay community where passion, learning, and connection thrive.

Fully funded through a percentage of our monthly sales, every Throw Clay LA customer helps make pottery more accessible in our community, strengthening connections and welcoming more people into our creative space. How to Apply

One-Time Classes: Opportunities to apply to Art Without Barriers will be announced periodically on our Instagram account. Follow us on Instagram for updates on when opportunities open up. Then DM us for the link to apply.

Six-Week Courses: Applications for Art Without Barriers are accepted for our courses on a rolling basis. Grant recipients will be notified close to the start of a session. Apply Here

Memberships: Art Without Barriers grant applications are evaluated monthly, with decisions announced on the 25th for the following month. Apply Here
